Multi-stage enduro race at the Gillard trail network.
The MEGA originated as Brian McClelland's idea, created to bring to life the kind of community-based race that was wanted to be seen more often in the Central Okanagan/Kelowna area. A race made by the people, for the people.
The course is challenging without being extreme, with the majority of the race on a pleasant mix of black and blue grade trails, keeping the fun going from start to finish. The shorter course is a great way to get into enduro riding, especially popular with beginners or those who haven't had much time on their bikes lately.
For fitter cyclists, the long course remains reasonable with approximately 1,200 meters of elevation gain, a modest day that offers a nice range of everything riders love in Gillard.
Registration includes dinner, a race plate, refreshments, first aid, and prizes, all for under $100. And with the support of local bike shops, it promises to be a memorable day, built around great trails, great people, and lots of bikes.
