We Are Stewards

About Us

As stewards of the Central Okanagan riding community, we bring riders, builders, volunteers, and partners together to protect our trails and shape the future of mountain biking.

MTBCO respectfully acknowledges that the trails we ride are located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx tmixʷ (Okanagan) people.

Our Mission

We are a progressive, volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to building sustainable trails and creating inclusive mountain biking experiences in the Central Okanagan.

We Don’t Sit Quiet

Advocacy

We advocate for the community and collaborate with all levels of government, land managers, and partner trail groups to:

  • Secure long-term trail access and future network development

  • Maintain constructive, solution-oriented relationships with governing bodies

  • Represent the voice and needs of mountain bikers in the Central Okanagan

Building the Best Trails

Stewardship

We help care for 400+ km of trails across six major networks in Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Lake Country. With our volunteers, partners, and local builders, we maintain, protect, and improve the places we ride.

  • Certified and experienced volunteer trail builders

  • Community trail-maintenance days

  • Strong partnerships with local businesses and trail groups

  • A commitment to sustainability and long-term trail health
