Rose Valley is one of West Kelowna’s most distinctive natural landscapes — a mix of volcanic bluffs, forested plateaus, open grasslands, and quiet winding singletrack. The network is shared by hikers and riders, rewarding anyone who explores it with sweeping views of Okanagan Lake and glimpses of unique geological formations.

Riding Here

Expect punchy climbs, long traverses, rocky features, and panoramic lookouts throughout the network. While the terrain leans more towards intermediate fitness and technical ability, it’s a place that invites exploration at your own pace. Trails are multi-use and unsanctioned, so users should stay alert, ride with care, and be respectful of other trail users.

Wildfire Recovery

Rose Valley was significantly affected by the 2023 wildfires, and the landscape is still in the early stages of ecological recovery. Restoration and trail-stewardship efforts are ongoing, with changes to vegetation, trail surfaces, and access points expected over the coming seasons. Riders can help protect this fragile area by staying on established trails and following all posted notices and closures.

Plan Your Ride

There is no formal trail signage within Rose Valley, and many routes are marked primarily by use. Trailforks is recommended for navigation. Expect steep sections, exposed edges, and shared-use paths that require patience and awareness. Please respect the watershed — the Rose Valley Reservoir is a critical part of the region’s drinking-water supply.
