Executive Director
Kim Dow
I moved with my family to the Okanagan from Calgary in 2014, chasing closer access to the mountains. Back then it was all about snowboarding and backcountry riding. After a few years of watching my winter pals disappear on their bikes in the spring, I bought my first bike in 2017 and haven't looked back. Riding has carried me through some big chapters. The people, the rides and the time outside keep me going, and it's taught me I'm capable of amazing things.
I'm newer to Central Okanagan riding, but Smith Creek and Crawford are two of my favourite zones. Off the bike, I'm with my two kids at SilverStar or in my pottery studio.
My professional background is in data, technology and program management, spanning more than 15 years. As MTBCO's first Executive Director, I'm working on funding, membership and the support our trail builders need to keep doing their amazing work. This group is organized and ambitious, and I'm really excited to be a part of it!
