AGM Registration is Live

Registration is now open for the MTBCO Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 11, and we’re genuinely excited about it.

The board recently held a strategy session, and as we’re heading into 2026, we have ambitious goals for trails, events, partnerships, and how we show up for the mountain biking community across the Central Okanagan.

The AGM is the perfect opportunity to share what we’ve been working on, what’s coming next, and how you can get involved. If you’ve ever been curious about MTBCO’s future plans, this is the night to hear all the details, ask questions, and connect with fellow riders.

Details

  • Where: The Innovation Center — Atrium Theater (460 Doyle Ave.)

  • Date: February 11, 2026

  • Time: Doors open at 7 p.m. | Presentation begins at 7:30 p.m.

Winter Riding: Best Practices

We’re having a mild winter, and it’s been great to see so many folks still out riding. A quick reminder to help protect the trails:

  • Ride dirt, not mud – If you’re leaving ruts or your tires are picking up and smearing mud, it’s too soft; please choose a different route.

  • Conditions can change fast  A trail that feels fine at the trailhead can be soft or thawing in shaded sections or as you change elevation. Even day-to-day conditions are not the same.

  • Use your best judgment  When in doubt, choose a different network or call it early, as it saves a lot of volunteer hours later.

Where’s riding best right now:

  • Knox Mountain Park typically rides the best through winter conditions.

  • Smith Creek and Crawford (Myra-Bellevue) have been okay on the lower trails, but please use your judgment on the day off to avoid riding on and damaging soft sections.

Thanks for helping keep our trails in great shape for everyone.
